Why should I invest in photography?

I know that when you are looking for a photographer, even if you love their work + may feel a connection, the decision can come down to finances. Trust me, I totally understand! There are a lot of costs that add up, especially for weddings, but at the end of the day I believe investing in photography is definitely one of the best decisions you can make. Many things in life come + go — but these photos will be on your walls, shown to your kids, and passed down for many generations to come.

I also very much believe that not every photographer may be a fit ! Every photographer has a different style, personality, and approach. It needs to feel good between you both, so if that means it’s me — YAY ! & if it’s not that is totally okay too — I want you to find the person who can capture you best!

How long have you been a photographer?

My journey with photography spans over 10 years & shooting weddings over the last 6 years. I have learned so much over the years + feel very comfortable with a camera in my hand. I have been officially full time for the last 2 years !

Who are your clients?

My clients are the best! They trust me, my style, my direction, & my vision. They allow me in on some of their most precious moments. Many of my clients have become my friends — which is hands down one of the best parts about this job !

Do you travel?

At this time I am not traveling outside of Arizona to stay close to family.

Who did your branding?

Desert Rose Studio! They are amazing! I absolutely loved working with them.

What is your style?

The words I would use to describe my style is classic, soft, romantic, earthy + organic. I feel like my style is not only seen in my photographs, but in my life as well — how I dress, how I decorate my home, & the things I am attracted too. I like my work to be just a tad bit moody, a little grainy, but yet very classic.

We have no idea what we are doing — can you help?

Getting photos taken can be a whole new world — I am excited to help + share all my advice to make you feel as comfortable as possible! When you hire me you aren’t just having someone show up to take your photos, instead I talk you through the whole process & we get to explore together! For weddings this is even more important — I help you create a schedule, talk through any questions or help you need, and the day of I will be your person/photographer/friend.

We are awkward when taking pictures — seriously, what do we do with our hands?

Trust me — I get it! I can become very awkward when I am on the other side of the camera! Don’t even worry about what you will do — that’s why you are paying for a professional photographer! I will direct you, fix your hair (seriously — if there is anything I am going to pride myself over it is fixing hair!), and tell you what to do with your hands. I will guide you every step of the way !

What do we wear?

I would love to help! I have Pinterest boards filled with ideas & love to send inspiration pictures based on the location of your session. Ultimately, you do you! Be yourself — you don’t want to look back and see pictures in outfits you never wore but were just trendy at the time. Wear what makes you feel comfortable + fits the location we will be going to! — Neutrals are always a really great option & do stay away from bright colors, loud patterns, & distracting graphics. Your clothes shouldn’t distract from being able to capture you !
